Flaxseed oil has a very high concentration of omega 3 oils, and is one of the best vegan sources of this nutrient. Flaxseed oil is traditionally taken as a supplement for constipation.

However, flaxseed oil is particuarly high in alpha-linolenic oil, which recent investigations has suggested have shown to help prevent the chronic inflammation that often leads to atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular disease. Chronic inflammation can occur anywhere in the body, and is thought to be a major part in the development of a range of diseases, particuarly athersclerosis, high blood pressure and heart disease. The alpha-linolenic oil in flaxseed oil is thought to control levels of chronic inflammation.

Lifeplan Organic flaxseed oil contains high concentrations of alpha-linolenic oil, thanks to the cold-pressed manufacturing process that retains the goodness and quality of the oil. Can be taken as a supplement for constipation, or off the spoon or even as a salad dressing. Not suitable for cooking.

This product must be refrigerated once opened and consumed within 4 weeks.
