Vega Vitamins and Herbals vitamin C 1000mg plus bioflavonoids gentle formula. Vitamin C plays an important role in maintaining a healthy immune system, blood vessels and gums. It is also required for proper iron absorption, to promote healthy tissue repair, wound healing and building the connective tissue collagen (an integral part of skin, ligaments, tendons, bones teeth etc.) Vitamin C is also a powerful anti-oxidant and neutralises free radicals, exerting a protective effect in the body. Calcium ascorbate causes less stomach upset or acidity compared with other forms of vitamin C and is therefore suitable for those who require large amounts. Bioflavonoids are naturally occurring plant pigments that increase the absorption and biological effectiveness of vitamin C.
