These Starflower Oil capsules contain a Premium Quality oil which has been cold-extracted, without chemicals, from specially grown plants of Borago officinalis. Borago is a traditional herbal remedy for PMS, used to restore hormonal and emotional balance.

Although a herbal remedy for PMS, Starflower oil from Borage has also been investigated for it's rich content of GLA (Gamma Linolenic Acid), a special fatty acid from which the body can produce Prostaglandins. These are the biological regulators controlling metabolic, physiological and reproductive functions, and play a part in controlling inflammation. Since inflammation itself is thought to aggravate PMS, this lends credence to the original use of staflower oil as a herbal rememdy for PMS.
